An article discussing super advanced aliens suggests that we should see evidence of their intergalactic activity, but we don’t, so perhaps none are close by. It is my opinion that given the scale of the universe, there should be a number of billion-year-old civilizations and probably one or more in our own galaxy. So why don’t we see alien Dyson spheres? I think the assumption that an alien civilization would grow to utilize all the power of a star our galaxy to be a mistaken assumption. At a certain point the goal of making as many of us aliens as possible seems ridiculous. Even here and now the population of Earth has been slowing its growth rate. Further, I suspect a super-advanced civilization would not want to interfere with developing civilizations by advertising their existence. With hundreds of millions of years to develop their technology, could an alien civilization hide their existence from our primitive tools?
Here is an old article, but one I came across again today and thought I would share.
Volcanoes come up often as the inspiration for ancient myths, and if the theory discussed here is correct, this would be the earliest depiction of a volcanic eruption by a historical witness. Geologists date the event as happening 8,900 years ago.
I came across an older article that I thought I would share about an odd little amphibian called an olm. In the past, rain would drive olms from their cavern homes, and locals believed that these were baby dragons which lived in the depths of the caves. I suspect the name “olm” is related to the term orm, used in Scandinavia to mean a worm or dragon. Olm are a favorite inspiration for me whenever I daydream about dragons. Details on the discovery of new human species can be found here. It is suggested that the people buried here practiced death rituals. However, I wonder if this was a group that was trapped by predators, enemies, or even by accident. It’s exciting that even now, important new discoveries in human origins can be found.
A new megalith has been discovered in England. It’s being called super henge because of its radius and number of stones. While this discovery is starting a new chapter in the archeology of Stone Age Britain, and will be possibly very important to the people, I think it lacks Stonehenge’s iconic profile.
So how long until people start coming up with an astrological significance for it’s arrangements?
